I love our locals, but Indeblue is a cut above. My favorite Indian restaurant ever.
EKTA is pretty darn good, and Tiffin is pretty good too.

A few years ago, I was waiting in Atlanta's airport for a flight, and started talking with an Indian guy who was waiting for the same flight. I mentioned I was from Philadelphia, and his response was "Have you ever eaten at Ekta?" I told him I lived two blocks away. He said it is his favorite Indian restaurant in the US.
Make sure you take advantage of the BYOB part of it. Because just like every other Indian restaurant I have ever been to, they serve incredibly spicy food, but refuse to give you more than 5 ounces of water at a time.

You can steer a car with your feet, but that does not make it a good idea.
Nothing an ice cold beer or bottle of reisling cant take care of!
Beer and wine are bad for hot foods. Since the stuff that makes it spicy is an oil, and beer & wine are mostly water, you just spread the oil around your mouth. You need something with fat in it, like milk, butter, cheese, or yogurt. Bread works well too.

yea obviously alcohol isnt recommended for spicy foods but that would be no fun now would it. As far as wine goes, somthing fruity with a little residual sugar is best. This will help to offset the spice. Reisling is definitley my favorite with Indian. If you want red, somthing light and fruity, maybe a Beaujolais or Bardolino or a lighter style red Zinfandel. If it's a really spicy Vindaloo dish, I like beer better.

Based on the vindaloo. Tiffin's feels like it doesn't even register one scoville unit.

Is that the recommended wine for Indian? For beer, strong flavors and big hops are recommended.
