Yeah that was my first time outside there on Sunday, big fan.

Not sure if thats possible? In my experience its been one or two things that are definitely a good deal/somewhat unique and then things like Philly Pale Ale and Sly Fox 113. Nothing to hit it out of the park, but it is a $3 craft draft on a nice patio.
Ok. Well then pick a date and time and when people try to change it just ignore them. Otherwise we'll be here still trying to plan this come the Fall.

yeah, we did the $3 beer thing one night back in the fall. i think it was kenzinger, sly fox pale ale, a wheat i can't remember and i want to say the great lakes porter, but that might be because i see that beer everywhere anymore.
Also, be honest, will you people hold it against me if I wear the cheesesteak hat out again?

if we have more than 4 people we won't fit. between $1 tacos and happy hour there was a 40 minute wait for tables at 6 yesterday.
Yeah you're right.

i do like egg's happy hour. it's 4-7 and they have a range of $3, $4 & $5 beers. you can also get a ton of mussels for $5. the outdoor picnic tables have a pretty solid amount of seating for bigger groups.

those mussels were delicious. also, you can get five deviled eggs for $3. they are really good, too.

Anyway, we could do next Tuesday. If yous want to get started 7ish, we can meet you after the Loco Pez meeting of insanity.

If I recall correctly, Sketch, Kraftwork and EGG do not have legit tables. However I'd have to ask Fuzzybottoms to check the records, so don't quote me on that.

None of these have come to zoning since I started working with the zoning committee (so, for at least a year now). I remember there being some buzz about the tables at EGG when it was Fathom, mostly from the nearby neighbors. I can do some digging if people are interested.
Let's leave Sketch's tables alone. I like being able to enjoy by burger and beer outside in peace.

Jordan: April 1st is a Sunday. And if you ever wear that hat again, i'll be forced to kick the tacos out of you.
JBette: Isn't the 3rd some big time zoning meeting for the IceHouse and LocoPez' Outdoor seating? (irony?)
Other than that, I'm completely down.
I will answer the middle part since I am still in zoning mode. Yes, Loco Pez meeting at 7:30. We are screening Ice House that night, so the community meeting will be at a later date.
Perhaps bring happy hour to the Loco Pez meeting (oh, I totally didn't just suggest that as a member of the zoning committee).

i'll second that for egg. i'm excited to have a happy hour in walking distance i can take my dog to.
Is that really the closest place to you that has both HH and outdoor seating?

I'd find that very odd if you weren't allowed to bring your dog to the patio outside there. Actually, maybe I wouldn't.

speaking of, it's $2 all drafts from 6-10 tonight. i haven't been since shelly left. i don't want kait to think we hate her.
we have a lot to do tonight, but maybe we can stop by for a beer if we get the rooms moved.
Yeah I was thinking about that too. I don't think I've been there for a month. But the last time I was there i kind of swore off having draft beer there again since it was so bad.

alright, what's wrong with the quote function? i know mine was formatted right. and now th's is weird.
You're weird.
So I just looked at their site, and they don't mention $1 oysters under Specials. Just $5 fried oysters. Have you ACTUALLY seen these $1 oysters, or is this just something you made up?

i personally have not ordered them. i am pretty sure they said $1 oysters when they were running down the happy hour for me. they do have oysters, and they are cheaper than the $2 or whatever they are full price.
Before this gets too derailed into a thread about shellfish, are we putting the kibosh on next Tuesday due to the FNA meeting?

No, I think an FNA meeting is an excellent reason to drink
How long do these zoning meetings usually take? Should we just push the time back to 8 or 8:30?

Oysters are definitely months with "R" in them.
That's when I get my Oyster Pie at Emil's in Perkasie.
I used to work at the Sansom Street Oyster House and we had oysters all year. One thing you might want to keep in mind is where the oysters come from. The owner would not buy oysters that came from any further south than Virginia. The warmer the water the greater chance of a problem
I'd have no problem making Friday Murph's a regular thing, especially since we no longer have quizzo.

We need concise info. Where and when. Done. The rest is your own personal responsibility.

I'm out for next Tuesday. And also totally not in favor being clear and concise. I like my threads about happy hour to descend into chaos along with the rest of the universe.
No confusion, no endless dialogue about what may or may not happen, no conflict, no muss no fuss.
Go or don't.
End.
that seems completely out of tune with the board.
What can I say, I dance to a different drummer. I don't mind rambling on about things, but when it comes to booze, all I need is where and when. Then I'll either go or not.

My daughter made me eat one, once. I really like veal.
(But I have to admit, I have eaten, while intoxicated, frog legs, smoked octopus, and a variety of things that we would have killed, not eaten, if they found thier way into my house when I was a kid. You must remember, I grew up without garlic or onions. Spectacularly deprived, gastronomically, anyway.)

Once, the old Polish guy who lived down the street, named Poppy, came to our door and asked if he could borrow an onion. When I told him we didn't have one, he didn't believe me. He always looked at me funny after that. I knew what I was missing, because my maternal grandmom lived down the next block, and everytime I went there she was cooking with onions. My dad just wouldn't have any of it. "They stink", he would say. Dig this, he's 82 years old, will be 83 in July, and has NEVER eaten pizza. Ever. Or a cheese steak. Really, I kid you not.

He was force fed oatmeal as a child, and will never eat that either.

Chinese food, never.
Melted cheese, no...cheeseburgers have to have a cold slice of cheese added to them.
Almost forgot, no pasta, ever.
And yet he eats kippered snacks and canned sardines.

I'm the exact opposite. The idea of a cold slice of cheese disgusts me.

In another thread I mentioned the possibility of not being able to make it. I must have missed the posts where everyone else decided to bail because of this. Didn't realize I was appointed the linchpin of the entire evening.

But you know, that's just me. I don't hold it against you or anything.
