Pez Loco 5:pm
And a 'good friday' it will be.

sdm's picture

In. Should we bring our own outdoor seating?

Neatly chiseled, well groomed, drop dead handsome face.

Coder's picture

Hell no, just sit on the neighbors steps.

Kenzo's picture

I've done the Pez like 4 times in the last 2 months. Their K&A Nachos are irresistible.

Good luck trying to get a table for more than 4, my Phils tix buying club met there last week and we had to wait forever to get that half-chopped table in the back.

On the advice of someone who probably queened-out, this signature has been deleted.

Coder's picture

That's why I will be there at 5p when they roll up the giant metal door guard.
Don't care about a table, all I need is a seat and a barkeep.
You should stop by, you can mingle, chairlessly.

poop, supposed to go to the wings game. i'll wave when i walk past with the dog.

That doesn't start until 7. Really, what could you miss?

bozoloper's picture

won't get home until 4:30, then i have to walk the dog and make some food before we leave at 6.

Skip it. It's lacrosse, barely a real sport.

First Seder of Passover, sadly I must decline. Even more sad, is that technically, beer is not kosher for passover.

Neilpuck's picture

Would it be ironical that I'm posting about a Passover Seder, having 'Jesus Saves' as my avatar? Legend has it the last supper was a passover seder.

I didn't go to a prep school as a kid so I have a very low opinion of the sport, and that will probably never change.

Isn't it French? (Sounds French) That pretty much says it all.

it's growing in the public schools around here and jersey. coming up from maryland, it's a religion down there. i played for a while in middle school/high school, but i was never very good. full field lacrosse is a pretty cool game to watch. indoor is a little too fast.

I think lacrosse was based on a Native American game.

sdm's picture

I highly doubt it's growing at all in public schools around here, unless I've just been sleeping on the North Philadelphia Lacrosse League.

Neatly chiseled, well groomed, drop dead handsome face.

Coder's picture

No books, but plenty of lacrosse sticks.

Neilpuck's picture

Yes, invented by North American Native Indians. Probably in the Canadian region, it was the French who gave it the name.

dan

In this region (particularly the suburbs), lacrosse was long considered a "girls" sport. The prep schools had boys' teams, but the public schools didn't - although they nearly universally had girls' teams.

As a child I became a fan the original Philadelphia Wings, but it was still surprising to me as a junior high student on a visit to John Hopkins University to discover that they had a championship men's lacrosse team. I became a fan, and lacrosse remains the rare sport that I actually enjoy watching.

i'll be more exact. it's growing as a boy's sport in the 'burbs.

c'mon, what other sport do you get to beat someone around the torso with a stick?

Hockey, or just a regular, pick-up game of torso beating.

I prefer to think that it doesn't even exist. Except when I have a random uncontrollable urge to go to Wegman's; and when I do that it's sweatpants, flip flops and now... my Kensington Pride tee.

The Cherry Hill set takes one look at me and they run home clutching their eggplants, worrying if their property will devalue even more than it already has.

Not for passover. The closest allowable beer substitute would be a mead type drink. The barley is okay, but not the yeast. Also, most alcohols are also not permitted if they're made with grains. Potato Vodka is okay, and there is a special type of tequila allowable. I don't know all of the intricacies but in general, beer is a no-no.
