Dog found at Memphis and Palmer. No tags. We put him in our alley but he is an escape artist and broke out. He is now running around the streets again. Here is a picture of him.
I found that dog about a month ago. He belongs to a woman on the 1400 block of Columbia Ave....about halfway up the street on the left side if you're walking north. I think he escapes when the girl's grandmother is home alone and she isnt able to chase after him
Go up the area i mentioned and knock on a few houses and someone should be able to tell you where the owner lives. The dog actually belongs to a young girl so keeping wouldnt be cool
thanks my sister went asking around that area and no one knew who it belonged to and there are no signs up i want to do the right thing but they need to get a collar and not let it roam the streets the dog could easily have been killed
My girlfriend and I said the same thing. We were saying that if one of our dogs were missing we would miss work, post signs and knock on every door in the neighborhood until we found him. I can definitely see that this level of attachment does not exist for that dog.
It is always possible that the owner and the finder are looking in different places. I would suggest putting up found dog signs around where you found him, where people think his owner lives and at the shelters. I know I have gone to ACCT every day to look for my dog and most people say that is the last place they would take a dog they found. Maybe if the girl's grandmom was watching the dog it was because the girl is out of town. Its possible that she hasnt been home to put up flyers yet. I think it is wrong to assume that someone doesnt love and miss their dog. There are plenty of fantastic dogs at the shelter that really have no one, if this dog has a family already you owe it to the dog to try to reunite them, or to give the dog to someone who will put that effort in. If you really want a cool dog for yourself, go adopt one that has truely been abandoned.
i will do my best but I'm in maryland right now if any one has any info i will gladly get it back to the owner all i was saying was that they need to get entered, get a tag and get it better secured if no one can go and look for it its been 3 days now i still can be reached at my email account thanks
I would post signs saying you found a dog. Give a general description (don't put a picture so any jackass can claim it) and put contact info so someone can contact you to better describe the dog to you. I'm with mdfish on this one though. That dog should be tagged! And if someone has found that dog prior to this, then clearly the owners don't pay attention or fix the problem of it getting out. Give it a few days, then I'd say keep the cute pup if you're willing to love it and care for it.
