And the plot thickens...

I have to admit this was one of my first thoughts when I heard the news. I also wondered how he explained his actions to the Big Guy.

I assume he just pulled a JoePa and croaked from the stress of covering for pederasts.

Matt, not from the stress of covering up...he was used to that.

Since the nationwide outrage from the Church over prophylactics which the Church this week, and that's a debate the Church has been in the center of since The Pill came out... to bring it up right when the Church is also in the middle of its biggest crisis of finances and faith... sometimes I think the Vatican has lost its mind.

All this energy to get the word out about how upset they are over insurance covering contraception; and then they are threatening to drop insurance for their own employees over this?

I'm not holding out any hope that they'll embrace openly gay laypeople, or do what most Protestants do and just ignore the whole debate about basic contraceptives, or even get rid of the medieval requirement for priests to not marry which is the root of the problem with the Church having all these sexually-conflicted priests.

But getting upset about birth control when you've got a generation of young people who are turning elsewhere to faith, bleeding money, shrinking parishes and the most faithful laypeople are upset and you're not listening to them?

Sigh.

Didn't this guy have cancer AND dementia?

This is my passive aggressive signature. Yeah it's about you.

codergrrl's picture

Yeah, but dementia doesn't kill you, and cancer could be anything. You could have a slow growing basal cell carcinoma, or some types of prostate cancer, you've got cancer, but its not going to kill you anytime soon.
Without seeing his medical records, we'll never know.

Just my opinion, and I think I will probably go to hell for this, but come on now. He gets deemed competant to stand trial and that evening he is dead. And they take him from the rectory directly to Donohoe funeral home. What about the autopsy? I say they got rid of him themselves. Sounds pretty fishy to me.

I'm sure they have all kinds of fun recipes sitting around the basement of the Vatican that you could put in an old man's glass of milk.

Wasn't he 88? 88?? Cause of death on his death certificate should just say: 88.

When the king speaks, fishtown.us would be wise to listen.

There are only certain situations in which a autopsy is mandated. One would be an "unattended" death which means the person was not under a physcians care, and the death was unexpected. Once you have some medical condition and you're under a doctors care, they only need a physcian to sign off on it. Other than "unexpected deaths" its not always mandatory. Drowing always has an autopsy. Its really up to the coroner to decide whether or not the autopsy is mandated, but in the case of 'natural death' it is not.

But, they did not do an autopsy just a physcial and toxicology.

Safe to say the official State Death Certificate will not say cause of death was Christian Conservatism.

Your not going to get much info from the physical of a embalmed corpse.
Especially if you died from pillow to the face.

I had read that they shipped him directly from the seminary over to the undertakers.
I'm not aware of whether or not the ME was involved at that point or not.
Honestly, its not gonna make any difference. Dead is pretty much dead.

That's why I thought it was weird and suspect. They took him directly to Donohue. I am going with the pillow to the face theory.

It was obviously a combination of Muslim terrorists, John Birchers, the Freemasons, and Chinese secret agents working under orders from HYDRA.

I just haven't figured out how Hillary Clinton and the Susan G. Komen Foundation are connected.

The Chinese secret agents may have been smuggled on the WalMart corporate jet in early September before they joined Nittany Lions football team as cheerleaders dressed from head to toe in pink. In October, they did the 3 Day Walk for the Cure.

Note: I am not making derogatory statements against Susan G. Komen or any breast cancer awareness programs. I am a breast cancer survivor and thank God everyday for the programs that have encouraged awareness, gift free mammograms and supply funds for research. I am here and almost whole because of research.

It probably wasn't the main Freemasons anyway.
I'm pretty sure it was a rogue group from the Order of the Amaranth.
