Atonement Brings Yes! And…Collaborative Arts Summer Camp to Fishtown

Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Atonement Brings
Yes! And…Collaborative Arts Summer Camp to Fishtown

This summer, Yes! And… is offering camp at Atonement Lutheran Church from July 30 to August 10, 2012 for current grades 3 – 7. Although not a “Christian” camp it incorporates the same values we have in our church. Atonement is located at1542 E. Montgomery Ave

Middle school aged students are often left in the dust when it comes to summer camp. Most camps are geared toward younger children between kindergarten and 5th grade. This is unfortunate when the tween/teen age group is at the most risk.
At Yes! And...Collaborative Arts Theater Camp these children get to recreate themselves in a fun, friendly, safe and creative environment. We have seen many children grow within the camp. Many have stayed on going through Shadow Company Camp for teens and performing in the Winter Sort of Thing Production at Eastern. It is amazing to see the growth, friendship, creativity and vision the youth develop during camp. The week concludes with a performance of all the campers on the evening of August 10th.

The cost for a child to attend the full camp is $400.00 for two weeks. Many of the children who would benefit from this camp find it difficult to pay the cost. We as a church run fundraisers during the year to help defray the cost of camp, and there are also scholarships available. Yes! And…Collaborative Arts never turns a child away because of lack of funds.

Way too much religion in Fishtown.

Just to make it clear...this is not a religous camp. It is a Collaborative Arts Camp taking place in our church building. It is a camp that incorporates team work, creativity, imagination and a whole lot of fun!

Great camp to send your kids for the summer. A place where they will learn acting, music, dacing, and more. A place where they can be themselves and have fun. At the end of the program the parents get to enjoy a performance writing and created by the kids!!

This is an awesome camp. The campers love it. Always new and exciting activities they do. And unlike other camps they get to have lots of input on the way things work and turn out. They get to express themselves. They really grow over the two weeks in camp and put on an awesome show at the end.

this camp is fantastic! If i had kids I'd send them in a heartbeat! please register your kids you won't regret it! It will be the best summer fun your kids will ever have! Its fun collaborative arts! very different then any other camp you've ever been too or heard about! At the end of the program the kids write and perform their very own original play, and also walk away with tons of skills that will enrich everything else they do in their present but especially their future! Here's a video of a past performance this summer!

Yes! And... Collaborative Arts always offers fantastic programs for kids. I would highly recommend sending your child to this creative and imaginative camp. I have a few more years until my kids are old enough to attend, but you can bet they'll be going to a Yes! And... Collaborative Arts camp as soon as they can. Acting, Dance, Visual Arts and Music are all offered by professional Philadelphia artists. This is definitely a camp experience you don't want to miss!
