Beginning Movement with Patricia Mayer

Wednesday, September 19, 2012 - 6:00pm

This class is for the dancers at heart. If you’ve never taken a formal dance class, but can’t help shaking your booty to your favorite song, come in and learn the basics. We start at the beginning- the very beginning. No pressure, no judgement. In six weeks, we will cover the basics of ballet and modern dance: positions, technique, rhythm and counting, and terminology.

Classes held every Wednesday

$15 at Angler Movement Studio
1550 E Montgomery Ave Fishtown

I was thinking the same thing.
However, I can't go, because (ironically) I'll be at a dance event.

So, now everybody can go and feel safe knowing I won't be there :).

Also can you please tell me what shoes to wear, or socks. Thankyou

The studio has padded/marley floors, so bare feet will possibly/probably be sufficient.

Their most recent FB update:
"We have AC! Come cool off tonight at Angler with some gentle soothing movement. Experience an intro to dance at 6 or Tai chi at 7:30."

Had my nights mixed up. Thought this was Thursday. Could have gone.
Guess you all were very lucky. :)

What is proper attire for this?

austen's picture

Shorts and a t-shirt are fine for men, usually. Think about athletic..um..support, though.
