We'll have plenty more trainings going forward and we'll be sure to rotate nights to make it easier for more people to attend. If there are handouts, we'll post them for download. A lot of the schedule will be based on demand. So if we know we can get 20-30 people, we'll schedule one. Thanks for your interest!
I actually was a traveling salesperson for five years until April. Now I drive to Valley Forge e'ry day. I think I may envy your trolley coder.
The real question is, why isn't neil consulting MY schedule? Actually he is probably happy I am not there... Sometimes I think zoning would prefer I get lost.
My whole house is loud. I'm the quietest one, believe it or not. My grandson has a hearing impairment, his mother went to too many rock concerts, and my dad has bilateral hearing aids. Every day I live in fear of the post about the house on Belgrade Street where people are screaming at each other all day long, into the night. This is above our normal Fishtown added decibels.
I have not yet begun to question her loyalty. But patience is wearing thin. I'm expecting all of you fools to be there. If not, we'll start recruiting you to serve on a committee. A fate worse than....a Point Breeze Zoning meeting.
On the serious side, for everyone who complains about the crime in this neighborhood, this is your chance to put your money where your mouth is. Even in the best of neighborhoods it's up to the residents to be on the lookout, doing what they can to create a safer neighborhood. This only works if we all work together to pitch in. I promise it will take less time and effort than to tilt back a personal; 12 pack at any of the local watering holes.
Last Call. This is tonight. If you think you know how to see and spot crime, you'll be surprised. Tonight you'll learn things that you had no idea were so important to creating a safer community. It's only a couple of hours, and you will probably make it out in plenty of time to make it to quizzo or your other Thursday night social functions. This is important people, don't put it off.
I postponed my Act 90 Tour to next month (the WebEx was to be tonight). I will be at E&E Training.
Townwatch Integrated Services (run by the City) will be running this training. I've attended the session before in Mayfair for their Patrol training; it's really good. ALSO YOU CAN ASK ANY QUESTION ABOUT POLICE SERVICE AND RESPONSE AND GET INSIDER INFORMATION INTO HOW THINGS WORK INSIDE PPD.
I have heard a lot from residents in civic meetings complaining about police service and response. In Townwatch Training you will learn how to get your calls escalated to get better service and response times, and you'll get to see how the 9-1-1 center prioritizes your calls and there are tricks for getting your priority raised.

Good turnout, and the conversation yielded huge amounts of additional information. Thanks to all who came out! I hope you found it as informative as I did.
