Yeah G-men!! I don't really care about football, but the Giants are my home team and my family members are all big fans. (My brother was AT the Superbowl, this year...he's a season ticket holder for Big Blue.) So it was nice to see them win.
But the really important thing about Super Bowl Sunday is what we all ate. What'd you eat? Our menu is detailed, here:
turnip greens - steamed & smoky
mac & cheese - w/a hint of truffle oil
homemade wings
crab dip that was fluffy and light
jalepeno cornbread w/ maple butter
smoked turkey
cupcakes - pretty good from the Thriftway bakery
blood orange Manhattans - ZOMG
I had every intention of enjoying the game. Knew it would be a doozy. But alas, around 5pm or so I noticed my heat wasn't kicking over. By 6pm I was sure of it. By kickoff, my poor old pa was in a frenzy so sure he was gonna freeze to death during the night. As a side note, no plumber answers the phone when its five minutes before kickoff of the Superbowl. Needless to say, miglarsh to the rescue. Into the car, up to Lowe's before it closed at 7pm, quick trip back and she had installed a new thermostat in a few minutes. I never saw any football until the third quarter, and then I fell asleep. Yeah team, I guess.

Who stepped up and made the mac & cheese when I had to bail?

since you faked the funk something major, D-bone had to step up to the plate.

The irony is that despite my attempt at a quiet night where I was in bed by 10, I didn't fall asleep until about 5am.

probably because you were feeling so guilty about bailing and deserting us with 'nary a bite of your mac and cheese.

The only way I will enjoy
The only way I will enjoy this Superbowl is if I win the pool at work. That would be very enjoyable after the week I have had.

My friend posted this
My friend posted this yesterday and I'm tempted to whip something together!
Were + $4.50 this year, so planning on letting that ride. Yes, four dollars and fifty cents. Go giants!

I have a Jeep-load of hot wings, so there's no way I won't enjoy it. I've been really trying to jack up my protein for the new year.
