Hotels, Salon, Farmer's Market, Ice Cream, Pizza... o my.

That's a very interesting article. The farmer's market, if it does eventually show up, will be an awesome addition to the neighborhood.

Did I say it was bad? Actually I will be stoked it this stuff happens... now if i was a little old lady who has been living on the 200 block of E Thompson St since the beginning of time maybe I would not be so excited.

I've been wishing that I could buy a 40k motorcycle in fishtown and now it appears my prayers have been answered

This all can't happen soon enough.

Awesome! seems promising. I agree with what Kimpor say. I think all this growth is good, but it has to be kept in check so it doesn't spill over and your left with businesses that fail as soon as they open.

I for one welcome these new businesses. Also theres already a motorcycle guy in town.

If I may take a moment to Soapbox....

If you have any opinions about the forthcoming development at all, please try to come to a zoning meeting soon so that you are familiar with the process. As with any large scale development, there will be strong opinions on both sides. Being exposed to other projects is a good way to see how a well formulated question is posed. Get a feel for the different presentation styles of developers, lawyers and owners, because they are all different. Ask your neighbor in the meeting what they think, they may offer a point or two that hadn't crossed your mind.

Most of all, participate. FNA does not function well when it is the same 12 people all the time. These decisions will affect the shape and fabric of our neighborhood. Everyone is welcome. Your time and thoughtfulness are not only needed, but valued.

The Hammarhead stuff is out of the blue. I've been following his operation for a couple of years and he makes really cool stuff that's actually not that outrageously priced. To have them set up shop in Fishtown would be awesome. People complain about things not being made in the US any more, well here's a business that makes a beautiful looking electric motorcycle and sells it all over the world and it could be based right here in Fishtown. Pretty badass, imo.

Do electric cycles have cc's. If so, how many cc's is that engine in the picture. Or what is the equivalent cc of the pictured bike?

Electric bikes don't have CCs (that measures the displacement of an internal combustion engine), but this bike puts out about 40 horsepower. Just for a frame of reference, the Harley Sportster 883 puts out about 46 horsepower.

I think that we need a new welfare office on Frankford Ave. I hate walking up to B & Lehigh.

Here I sit broken hearted, paid a quarter and only farted.
