How are you organizing this if your fiancee is having a gallery showing at the exact same time?

i think i'll stop by the opening, but i'm not going to spend all night there. i'll be at the nut hut.

i'd definitely be open to pushing the time back to 6:30-7. it gives me more time to get the dog out and walked.
Then you should have done that when you first made the post. Not that I expect anyone to be there at 6, myself included, but you can't go changing the event the day of.

i know, all three of us going might get confused.
I'm still holding out hope that this will draw a few new people and we'll have something like the first HH at O'Reillys this time last year where we actually get to meet new people.

and scare them away permanently?
c'mon, guys i know you're out there reading this. you're thinking, "why would i want to go to a bar and meet these obnoxious people that spend too much time on a neighborhood message board?"
a. it's nice to put faces with fake names.
b. it's a new(ish) bar, and maybe we've been missing out on just how great it can be.
c. it's first friday. why not take a minute to meet your neighbors, have a beer and continue your stroll down frankford ave?
d. th will bring pictures of his cats.
Well...you can always go, just pretend you didn't read about it here, watch the people at the bar, and by the time the cat pictures come out, you can decide whether or not you really want to step up and identify yourself.

It was awesome to meet Mr and Ms Shenanigans. I CANNOT WAIT for them to open, especially since they will be breathing in some life to the west side of Front Street. Finally a real sports bar this way cometh, so convenient to where I get off the train from work. Hopefully will be open in time for the Phils.
Oh yeah on a side note, the new Middle Eastern place is almost done. It has a 2nd floor balcony and I saw tables and chairs already set up last night. They got workers inside furiously trying to finish up the place so we can all get our kebabs on.
The outside has new 1,000-watt sodium lighting all around the permiter; at night it's lit up like a Christmas tree. I'm assuming the weird-shaped lot most people cut through to get from Berks to Norris St. is going to be made into customer parking? With Shenanigans coming, the empty feeling around the area may finally melt away at last underneath that stretch of the EL.
5pm, I was going into my second hour of frying chicken for the ravaging horde.
6pm, Staring at clock wishing I was in any bar, anywhere.
7pm, Too late, already had depleted any enthusiam previously held for any type of fun later.
I did not have the wherewithal to do another thing. Barely continued breathing, (thank you autonomic nervous system.)
I just wanted to say that Mrs. Shenanigans and myself had a nice time at happy hour last Friday.
It was nice to meet the faces of the people that write on this blog.
