Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I'm Sarah, I've lived in the hood for a little over a year and decided I should stop lurking and start posting. Always looking dog friends.
Hi Sarah. You, and your four legged friend, should come check out the newish dog park on Palmer between Frankford and Front. Not too many people seem to know about it yet and it would be cool if more people started bring their dogs there.

I saw that last Saturday and was wondering if it was an actual dog park or people just taking advantage of a fenced in area.

No its forreals.
Get this - its a Conrail Easement. Still cracks me up.
We really need someone to take the lead over there to manage and promote it though, interested parties inquire within.
Sarah, hello and welcome. The only thing you need to know to survive this thread is to know exactly what the area you live in is called. Fishtownians don't like when their good name is sullied by including areas (like that travesty of a neighborhood on the other side of York Street) not truly part of Fishtown. The only thing you need to know to survive Fishtown in real life is that we are infested with Possums and they do have roaming gangs that attack people for no reason other than they're bored. Good luck.

Hey now King. We have Jovans AND the Tap Room so there.
And Sarah if you want to see a thread derail, just randomly inject the word 'Wegmans' in it.
This strategy will never work. In any case, I was there the other night and was kind of disappointed by the choices on their Asian food bar. Really? $8.99/lb for stuff you can get at a cheap AYCE buffet?
