"PAT L" current holds the high score at 401,140. Go for it, Dan.
hah!
I don't think I've played since I graduated high school. But in my small town, snuggling together while playing Frogger at the Dairy Queen after mini-golf was part of a great date.
barcade caved. they now have a tv in the bar area (not behind the bar, at least. it's on the opposite wall in the seating area).
it was nice having one bar that didn't have a tv, but if it's helping them retain more customers i guess i can't blame them.
I was at Vetri's new restaurant, Alla Spina, and they had tv's on the wall of the restaurant and over the bar. Eh, loud rock music to go with the graffiti on the walls summed up "try too hard" to do something, but I'm not sure what. Food was OK, not awesome.

I liked alla spina. I'm also not surprised you weren't impressed.
oh, and they got rid of burgertime! BOO! they still have the machine, and it still says burgertime, but it's now filled with a bunch of different games (some of which are already at barcade - galaga, frogger, etc.). scrolled through all of them and didn't see burgertime. maybe burgertime isn't working and it's a temporary sub until they fix it?? :(

Hope they cave some more and get pinball and some 90's games (Simpsons, that Xmen 6-player two screen behemoth).
yeah, i don't see how they can argue that marvel vs. capcom is too "new" for their concept now that they have a huge flatscreen in the place. eta: let's get some marble madness up in there too!!
UPDATE: they still have burgertime. either i missed it, or they reloaded it onto the machine. when they changed the format to a bunch of different games on the BT machine, there were several pages of games to choose from so maybe i passed it over when scrolling through, but now there's only 1 page / 4 games, and burgertime is one of them. phew! :)
also, they got rid of wrestlemania and added teenage mutant ninja turtles.

Why pay 25 cents when you can just try crossing Frankford at Thompson for free?

Fair enough. I will also accept "In Frogger, I lose 25 cents. On Frankford Avenue, I might lose the ability to walk."

I'm with NK. Food @ Alla Spina was decent and we had a nice time but not 3-bells LaBan worthy.
