The Recession - Over for Philly?

Forums:

I had to go to Radnor and West Chester to get some AV parts and do some other shopping I don't do until after the Christmas nightmare is over.

King of Prussia was mobbed on Monday. I drove past Nordstroms and it looked like it would be difficult to find a parking spot in there, 202 was super busy... I headed to a shop in Radnor that in normal times may only have 15-20 people in there at any time in the summer and there was at least 70 and long lines to check out.

Swing back to the hood and the grocery stores were hoppin'. This is usually the time when people are hoping for their next paycheck or they're dormant waiting for their income tax refund because they overspent during Christmas and poured tons of dough on gas and plane tickets.

Guess the pessimism is subsiding?

most of the country's economic fundamentals are improving at the moment. if europe doesn't drag us down with their misguided austerity attempts we should do ok in 2012.

If every trace of any single religion died out and nothing were passed on, it would never be created exactly that way again... If all of science were wiped out, it would still be true and someone would find a way to figure it all out again.

Now hundreds of thousands of Philadelphians will be able to enjoy living in poverty a strong economy instead of living in poverty in a weak economy.
