Someone stole our recycle bin

had this happen to me a few times. trash cans too. it's so stupid, yet it makes me SO angry all the same

This is why we put out trash out in bags. I've had so many trash cans stolen in the past 9 years, I've lost count.

Check down the street. The wind blew them all over. Neighboring blocks are still littered with them. Some kind soul threw mine over the gate.

I had two collect the recycling twice shortly after putting it out friday morning.

If NKCDC does not have them. Go to Philadelphia Salvage, there are plenty. They get them out of dumpsters and recycle, the recycle containers. Same here. I found mine a half block from my house. I spray painted my address in bright numbers, i could see it from Alaska.

Next week is evil note week. Get ready.

welcome to the hood (lol- am I allowed to say that yet?). Mine got stolen twice. I now put my recyclables in paper bags from thriftway, and if I'm lucky, I tie the handles together or to each other to give a good effort so they don't blow down the street. Less stress, and at least a semi-useful way to recycle the bags.

this happened to me around a year ago. coincidentally one of my neighbors then magically had two from then on. does any place close i can just walk to thats verified to have them? i'll call NKCDC i guess tomorrow if i can, since that would be super convenient. we just have up and used the paper bag method again. i checked all the surrounding blocks for about a month to see if it just migrated down at the time, but no luck. if i get another one i am not only going to use neon spraypaint on it, i'll probably try and see if i can get some glow in the dark something or other so i can spot it at night (i leave for work before sunrise so thats usually when recycling happens for me....)

we had so many trashcans stolen! i never knew what a hot commodity they were until we started to having to replace them weekly.

btw - for recycling, you can use ANY bin/can/receptacle; just mark it RECYCLING and it'll have the same magic the little blue bin does.
