I LOVE the job my brickman did on my house. He also did the yellow house that neilpuck mentions if it's the one on Oxford st. I am on the corner of Thompson & Oxford if you want to check out his work. My house used to be covered in the silicone based red paint that the city gave out years ago. He removed it and power washed the bricks. He also pointed and faux painted new bricks to match existing bricks. If that weren't enough he replaced damaged footers and headers, faux painting them to match the remaining marble headers and footers. I can't sing his praises enough. If I am not mistaken, Stock uses him as well. Shoot me an email to mkmpk [at] aol [dot] com and I will give you his info.
Bill Dolan did ours back in the late 90s (cleaned and repointed). I thought he did a nice job and it still looks pretty good, i think. pretty sure the neighbors on my entire block used him over the last 10-15 years. He just did the entire corner property about 5 yrs ago.
pretty sure there were a few threads about him here before, if you do a search.
I'll ask my contractor who was the guy that did my front. He did a great job getting all the old paint off, cutting out the old pointing and repointing. This spring, I hoping to get my cornice cleaned and painted; its one of those old metal ones with some rosettes on it.

I'll check for the name of the guy who did mine. He removed several layers of pink paint UGGH. Looks fantastic now. Cost me around a grand. Would probably be much less for a simple cleaning. I'll try to post something tomorrow. Be prepared to repaint because the chemicals used to clean brick will ruin any painted surfaces. Might be better at this point to wait until spring.
One of my neighbors had the front of her house done, they basically stripped off the ugly yello paint to reveal the brick underneath. I'll find out who she used.
