We had some plans this weekend that will probably get cancelled as a result of the snow, but I've decided to take this opportunity to teach myself how to bake fresh bread! I have two recipes: one for beer bread and another for an orange-flavored breakfast bread. I'll let y'all know how they come out.
Ohhh, learning how to cook bread is on my list of things to try this month! Apparently you save a ton of cash.
Totally! I mean, a loaf of GOOD quality bread is $3 or more at the grocery store, and around $5 at the farmers market. But a bag of medium quality flour is $4, and you can get a few loaves out of it. I'm starting off simple with breads that don't require alot of rise-time, but it would be cool to work my way up to making sourdough starts and stuff.

Now I wish I bought that plastic sled I saw. Sledding!!!
Oh wait...where do you sled in fishtown?
Used to sled on the beautiful scenic hills that surrounded the highway, before the heavy equipment came, and ruined it. Little kids can sled on the Rite Aid hill.
Now, most Fishtowners head up the the Juniata Golf Course....
You don't need a sled...a kids pool, a trash can lid, a trash bag alone (hard on the butt), or any plastic thing you can fit on. http://citymaps.phila.gov/map/default.aspx

I hate being cold but as long as I'm warm, and the lil furryish creatures are warm, I'm good. (Ya, even including that mystery squirrel in my ceiling.)

I really love the snow and have always said "the more the better", but now that I own a small business that greatly depends on foot traffic, I'm torn

Good choice since even Miami saw sleet and flurries earlier this winter.
I only went to PR once as a kid but it was beautiful. The rainforest was especially cool---it is 'El Yunque' or something like that?
I went to PR about 15 or 20 years ago. I loved Old San Juan.
I was there last week and I wanna go back.
