The funny thing is, most people I know who moved here love the area and tend to be much more *positive* about things local. Folks who grew up here tend to see the negatives, like the idjit mayor, the lousy city-union workers (but don't see the good ones), the lack of jobs (especially for teens who really could use a source of income other than dealing), and so on ad nauseum.

Joe, that is an interesting observation. I think it's partly human nature to start to see the bad stuff after a long while, whereas when you come from somewhere else, everything looks new and fresh. Sometimes it's harder to see the positive changes when they're happening slowly around you. Conversely, the new people DON'T know the history nearly as well, and it's easier to be positive.
Philly looks way different to me now than it did when I was a teenager, but I was away for a long time.

I don't think they had any "P" letters left. THe First P appears to be a "C" attached to the top of an "l" and the second P appears to be a lower case u attached to an l
I like this idea very much indeed for the second P. That does look as though it could be a lower-case u. But (not to split hairs, I just love dissecting fonts) I doubt strongly that the top P is a c. If you look at the other letters, the c would not be shaped like that. It would curve in a bit at the top and bottom.

maybe they only had
maybe they only had lower-case letters, so they had to improvise the two capital Ps.

Now I have to find the font.
