For the record, the problem I had was he drilled too far into my teeth while repairing two cavities, that resulted in two hairline fractures on my teeth that had to be repaired elsewhere with two crowns, to the lovely tune of 3,000 dollars. So I'm sorry, but I don't personally think that gives me reason to think he is the best. I'm sure there are great dentist within reach of our neighborhood. Good luck to whomever at this point was the original person asking!
You got to love that anytime you say anything negative on here, it's assumed you are new to the neighborhood. Then you wonder why people may not feel welcomed. I imagine it is the same people I see using the sewer as a garbage can.

...Didn't mean to badmouth.. no pun intended. Just shared what had happened with me. For the record, my mouth looked pretty nice before hand, I was lucky to have quality dental care growing up.

Pure Fishtown, no I don't work for him and I agree with you. There are many Dr. out there and we have a right to chose where we want to go.
I don't like it when someone is so negative and would try to ruin someone who has been taking care of us for so long.
There is not a perfect Dr. out there unless you are God.

, Krys, do you work for Finklestein? It sure sounds like it. In all my years, I have never seen someone become so upset about someone saying something negative about a doctor unless there was something personal in it.
I use to go to Dr. Finklestein, he's okay. The only thing that I didn't like about him was he charged a friend of mine for being late to an appointment. Shortly after that, he left me sitting and waiting in the chair for 45 minutes; so, I told him that I had to charge him for my time. He wasn't too happy with me and I didn't get the money from him either.
Krys, you can go through every type of doctor there is on the face of this earth including vets; there will always be someone who doesn't like that particular one. Someone stated what happened to them at a particular dentist; so, no biggie. For you to go off like you did seems to paint a picture of something else.
Sepviva, there are quite a few dentists in the area and I don't think any of them is better than the other. We all have a preferences and you will have to make your own decision. Good luck.

I know that we have generations of my family as well as many in the area that have been going there for years. Are you new to the area? It sure does sound like it.
I know that the dentist on Cumberland it HORRIBLE take a look to see how many malpractice suits and complaints he has....he screwed up many people that I know. If Finkelstein screwed your mouth and is so bad, why aren't others complaining??
WHy don't you invest your time in seeing how many complaints he has with the dental assn. You shouldn't waste your time bad mouthing someone who has been in the area for years taking care of most people in the neighborhood.
He is always there when you need him. Your little comment won't stop us and I know it won't stop others that have been seeing him forever.
